Was at the Side Cinema in Newcastle for an evening of classic films, featuring Philip Trevelyan’s film about a Sunday lunchtime at a pub called the Ship Hotel – Tyne Main, and Pete Bell’s moving portrait of Northumbrian poet Basil Bunting.
The films were introduced by Philip Trevelyan himself, who directed Ship Hotel and also edited Basil Bunting and of course made the incredible The Moon & The Sledgehammer.
More films from the archives will be shown over the coming weeks. Check link below for more details.
