Photographer Mark Henderson has worked extensively in the worlds of youth culture, music, design and travel. His photographic practice is based around documentary, editorial and commercial photography.
Born and raised in the north east of England, Marks first major commission was with the BBC to document the social and cultural experiences of diverse communities in Newcastle. These images are held in the PYMCA collection of youth and music culture photography in London and have been published, and exhibited globally.
For the past seven years Mark has been based in London working within the art and design communities on commissions to produce film and photographic projects with a wide range of artists and designers. These commissions have taken him on research projects throughout Europe, Asia, Africa and the US, documenting individuals, landscapes and objects. His work during this time has been featured in numerous high profile publications as well as exhibited at the Design Museum in London and Museum of Modern Art in New York.
Mark relocated to Dublin in late 2011, and while he continues to work with clients in London he is also exploring commercial and artistic opportunities in Ireland.
